Pony Club teaches riding and real horsemanship, building the foundations of teamwork and sportsmanship while developing leadership, confidence and responsibility.

Riding in Thurston County at Forest Park Equestrian Center and other local facilities.

Mounted meetings

Riding lessons on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays, January to June and September to December.

Unmounted meetings

Horse-care evenings with dinner on the 2nd Tuesday of the same months.

Pony Club is a national youth organization that has taught young riders since 1954. As a Baywood member you're also a member of the United States Pony Clubs, with everything that opens up.

Certifications at your own pace

Dressage, Hunter Seat, Western, Eventing and Show Jumping tracks.

Deep horse knowledge

Behavior, nutrition, health, veterinary care and correct use of equipment.

Clinics and competitions

Regional and national clinics, rallies and championships.

Doors that open later

International exchanges, youth leadership boards and college scholarships.

Where it all begins

Joining Baywood

Who can join

Pony Club membership is open to all ages and experience levels, whether you're just starting out or have been around horses for years.

  • Beginners are welcome, and so are experienced riders.
  • Not sure about a horse or pony? Get in touch and we'll talk through the options.
  • You join through Baywood, and your dues cover club, regional and national membership.
  • Adult members (18+) complete SafeSport training, and those 21+ complete a background check, as USPC requires.

How to join

  2. Visit a meeting and meet our members, instructors and ponies.
  3. Sign up with Baywood and pay your dues for the year.
